About the business

The mission of Kiruna Malmförädling is to refine the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are screening, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process, and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and maintenance.

Your role

As a mechanic with us, you will be part of an engaged workplace consisting of both shift and day staff. You and your colleagues primarily work with preventive and corrective maintenance of our concentration and pellet plant. This involves working according to established maintenance plans but also improvement work such as renovations and safety jobs. We learn on the job, and as a mechanic with us, you will receive a tailored training plan for breadth and the opportunity to become our ultimate expertise, our most important resource.

Here you are part of a team with a significant impact on daily work where your safety and well-being are the highest priority. With us, you work to maintain LKAB's largest production unit and thus have a significant impact on our results, all together with helpful and driven colleagues.

You bring with you

• High school education with a mechanical focus or equivalent competence is a requirement
• Driver's license B is a requirement
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement
• Several years of experience in industrial work (meritorious)
• Professional experience in gas/electric welding (meritorious)
